Maryland Security Guard Certification

The state-mandated initial training for a Maryland security guard certification, delivered online with a certificate of completion for the Maryland State Police application.

Create a free account on the EPS Portal, open the course, and enroll. Paid courses are billed once at enrollment and open the same day. Every quiz passes at 80 percent and can be retaken, and the credential issues automatically when the last requirement is complete. In-person and instructor-led classes, including Maryland Wear and Carry, Stop the Bleed, and CPR, are booked separately on the EPS training calendar.
